Econ-Fu is an independent blog created by me, James Archsmith, an academic economist specializing in energy and environmental economics.

My intent is to post material on my research and related policy, coding and data analysis in economics, and anything else I feel is worth the typing.

Use of AI

I use AI as a productivity tool—much like a spellchecker, code linter, or a microwave oven. This includes generating sample code blocks, creating illustrations, or refining draft text. All ideas, conclusions, and primary writing originate with me. I do not publish AI-generated text as original commentary, nor do I use machine output to bypass authentic critical thinking.
